Â
In Strader's first season on campus, the Lancers finished with a 12-5-1 record and finished their first year in NCAA Division I with a fourth-place finish in the Western Athletic Conference. The Lancers were also one of the top offensive and defensive teams in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).Â
In year two, the Lancers finished 13-5-1 and a program-best second place in the Western Athletic Conference during the second year of the NCAA Division I transition. The Lancers finished the conference season as the top defensive unit in the conference with only six goals against in league play. During the spring shortened season of 2020 due to Covid-19, the Lancers would once again eclipse the ten-win mark en route to a 10-4-3 record, spending much of the season receiving votes in the USC Regional rankings. A program-best eight Lancers were named to the All-WAC team and All-Freshman teams combined, as the Lancers would finish the WAC regular season in 3rd place. Devin Kelsey would go on to receive 3rd team All-Region honors as a member of the team's backline. Â Â
In the 2022 season, the Lancers went 8-5-5 and made the WAC tournament in their first year eligible. CBU produced two more All-WAC honorees in Lourdes Bosch (First-Team) and Taylor Summit (Second-Team) and had three players on the All-Region Team with Bosch, Summit and Ari Coronado.
Â
Strader spent the prior four years as the Head Coach at Indiana Wesleyan University, leading the Wildcats to an NCCAA National Championships runner-up finish in 2017. During his four years leading the program, Strader progressively turned the program each season, finishing his final season with a 15-4-3 record with only three recruiting classes.
Â
In each of his four seasons, the Wildcats advanced to the Crossroads League tournament and were named an NAIA Academic Scholar-Athlete team while leading the nation in 2014 for the most academic All-Americans. During his time leading the Wildcats, the program produced 14 All-Conference selections, 3 NCCAA All-Americans, 1 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and 2 NAIA All-Americans.
Â
Additionally, during Strader's final three seasons, the Wildcats were receiving votes for the Top 25 in the nation. Strader helped his program fundraise money to lead his team on a 9-day international mission trip to Auckland, New Zealand, during the summer of 2016.
Â
Before Indiana Wesleyan, Coach Strader spent two seasons with Cal State Northridge, assisting the Matadors program to their first-ever NCAA Division I post-season by way of the Big West Tournament Championship in 2012.
Â
The Matadors would also go on to defeat Arizona State and the University of Michigan while earning ties against USC and the University of Tennessee. He was also an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach for two seasons with Scottsdale Community College from 2010-to 2011, helping the Fighting Artichokes to two ACCAC post-season tournaments.Â

In addition to Coach Strader's intercollegiate background, he has been a varsity high school coach and has several years of experience coaching competitive clubs, which included a #1 ranked boys team in Indiana. Tim has also gained valuable experience as an Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) coach with both Indiana Fire and Strikers FC, including leading his team to the North America Cup Semi-Finals and a top-three finish prior to Covid in the Southwest Conference.Â
Â
Strader has earned his USSF National C License, United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma, Premier Diploma, and completed the USC Master Soccer Coach Diploma.Â
Â
