Final Day Split

The Lancers' opening win against Dominican was a make-up of an earlier rainout and is one of two rescheduled games from the cancellation.
CBU was saved by the long ball in its opener, getting homers from Sloan McHann and April Vasquez to provide all the offense needed.
The two teams played scoreless through five innings until McHann blasted a line-drive shot over the wall in left-center to give CBU a 2-0 lead.
Vasquez added some insurance in the seventh with a solo home run, her sixth of the year.
The Penguins threatened, but Tory Ferreira worked her way out of a bases loaded jam, keeping a one-hit shutout intact. Ferreira moved to 17-2 with the win.
The game improved the Lancers' conference record to 15-4 and dropped the Penguins to 0-15.
It was CBU that faced the early deficit in the final game of the day, falling behind 3-0 in the second inning to CSUDH on a three-run double by Veronica Vasquez in the second inning.
The Lancers drew within one in the sixth inning, scoring a pair of runs after a Toro error, but gave them right back in the top of the seventh.
Stephanie Jimenez came in and shut the door, handing the Lancers their first loss of the week.
CBU's record drops to 32-6. Emma Holden's record falls to 15-4.
