Behind Savannah Miller's hot day at the plate, the Lancers beat BYU-Hawaii 12-2 in the opener and then 5-1 in the late game to move to 5-1 on their 10-game road swing.
CBU scored its second mercy rule victory of the trip in the opener, using a six-run fifth inning to cruise to victory.
The Lancers got a two-run shot from Miller and a three-run bomb from Mara Rodriguez in the inning.
Jessica Avila threw all five innings in the win, gave up just three hits.
CBU then had to come back from a 1-0 deficit in the late game, getting four runs in the seventh inning to take the lead.
Miller evened the contest with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, before the Lancers poured it on in the seventh.
Fittingly it was Miller who would send two runners home with a fourth straight single for the Lancers in the seventh to give the visitors the lead. With one out CBU got three runners on with one-baggers and then Miller hit a ball down the right side to plate two.
Andie Banuelos followed with another RBI single and Kailey Willingham put the Lancers up 5-1 with a Sacrifice fly.
Avila, who threw her second straight game in the nightcap, pitched a perfect seventh to seal the win. The freshman pitcher went seven innings, giving up five hits and no walks. She is now 8-4 on the year.
Miller was 6 for 6 at the plate on the day, driving in six of CBU's 17 runs. As a team CBU had 25 hits and hit .431 in the doubleheader. Ashley DeVaere went 3 for 5 with two RBI.
The two wins move the Lancers to 13-8 overall, 7-5 PacWest. BYUH falls to 5-17, 2-4.
