Trailing 2-0 in the second inning, Kolander had a leadoff single down the right field line. Stram had a two-out single to keep the inning alive. Galvez loaded the bases with a full-count walk, bringing Avalos up to bat. Avalos ripped a single, plating a pair of runs to tie the game.
UNLV scored twice in the bottom of the first, but CBU answered right back with two runs in the second. Anise Avalos lands the big blow with a two-run single through the left side.

The Lancers made the game interesting in the last two innings. In the top half of the sixth, Stram hit a one-out single followed by a Galvez walk. Avalos delivered once again with a RBI single up the middle to make it 6-3. Galvez and Avalos advanced to second and third on a passed ball with two outs, but the Lancers were unable to bring them home.

In the top of the seventh inning, Cheyann Tucker reached on an infield error to start the Lancer rally. With two runners on base following a Kolander single, Stram hit a two-out single up the middle to load the bases. Galvez was hit by a pitch in the next at-bat, scoring Tucker to make it 6-4. Avalos once again came to the plate with an opportunity to drive in additional runs. Avalos battled at the plate with an 11-pitch at-bat before lining out to shortstop to end the game.
CBU loads the bases and scores in the T7th, but its comeback attempt falls just short in a 6-4 loss to UNLV. Makenna Stram loaded the bases with this single.
