RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University will host its final nonconference matchup of the season on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. when the Lancers host the Warriors of Westcliff University.
Before the men's team takes on the Warriors at 7 p.m., the women's team will host Westcliff at 4:30 p.m. for the final doubleheader of the season.
The Lancers recently broke the NCAA record for most wins (33) through the first two season of the NCAA Division I transition period while being considered an RPI counter from a scheduling standpoint.
If you remove the RPI qualifier and simply count wins against DI opponents, the record is held by Grand Canyon and Seattle U at 30. The Lancers currently have 26 wins and are five wins away from breaking the record set by the Lopes and the Redhawks. After Thursday's game against the Warriors, the Lancers finish their slate with six straight games against DI opponents.
