11/10/2021 4:20:00 PM | Softball
RIVERSIDE – Head California Baptist University Softball Coach Mike Smith has signed his first recruiting class since returning to the Lancer dugout, securing eight incoming freshmen for the 2022-23 season. Five Californians are joined by student-athletes from Kentucky, Texas and Virginia, who will be the first to play their entire Lancer career as full NCAA Division I members.
"We talk about winning in the locker room, and then it will transition to wins and team chemistry on the field. We have signed not only good softball players but even better people and teammates," Smith said. "The Lord has really blessed CBU, our softball program, and each of these young ladies with their commitment to celebrating and appreciating the relationships they have made and will make every day while they are on this campus and within our program. The impact that these young ladies can make will be instantly significant. They will help us reach our goals to win championships here at CBU."
