Kerisa Viramontes would shine again in the circle for the Lancers, earning her 15th win of the season and reclaiming her conference leading spot in the category. She allowed just three hits and one unearned run in her 19th complete game of the season. Though she collected just four strikeouts on the day, two of them came with the bases full of Wolves and two-outs, ending the innings and the threats.

Brittney Galvez wasted no time getting back up to game speed in her first start in nearly a month, as she scored Ashley McBay from second to give the Lancers an early lead in the bottom fo the first. Galvez would end the day by going 2-3 with that RBI. Deja Westbrook would tack on a second run for the Lancers, scoring pinch runner Michaila Harrington later in the first inning, the score that would later prove to be the game winner.

CBU would get a little breathing room from Abby Robertson in the second when she singled through the right side, easily scoring Maile Olsen from third.

Nevada would recoup a run in the top of the third inning after a pair of Lancer errors allowed the inning to continue. Nevada officially went just 3-27 at the plate on Saturday, but three walks, two hit-by-pitches, and those four Lancer errors amounted to plenty of opportunities for the Pack as 10 Nevada baserunners to reach and eventually be stranded.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lancers have just one series left on their schedule as they prepare to welcome the first-place New Mexico State Aggies to Funk Stadium next weekend. The Aggies are winners of their last nine games, sweeps of WAC foes Utah Valley, Tarleton State, and Dixie State. Their 26-18 record and 11-3 WAC standing affords them a one-game lead over Seattle U (23-18, 10-4 WAC) on the conference table. Doubleheader Friday is scheduled to start with a 5 p.m. first pitch and Senior Day Saturday will begin at 12 p.m.
