MOSCOW --- California Baptist University women's soccer battled the University of Idaho to a 0-0 double-overtime draw on Thursday.
Idaho entered the game as the top team in the Big Sky on Thursday night, as the Vandals held a 5-1 record with a three-game winning streak. The Lancers were in control from start to finish, as they ended the game outshooting the Vandals, 10-5. The Lancers managed to put seven of their 10 shots on goal, while the Vandals recorded two shots on goal.
CBU moves to 2-4-1 on the season to end the non-conference slate, while Idaho records its first tie at 5-1-1.
The Lancers did well to come out on the attack, managing the first half on the offensive side of the ball. CBU recorded five shots in the first half to the Vandals one, as the Lancers managed to control the offensive side of the ball.
Romy Salvador and the Lancers' backline held down the defensive side of play, as the only two shots put on frame were saved by the graduate senior goalkeeper. With the shutout, Salvador moves to fourth all-time in career shutouts with 15.
