David Martin had himself a day, as he homered in both games and had three on the day after coming into the day with just one bomb in his career. He finished the day batting 4-for-7 and five runs scored out of the leadoff spot.
Michael Carpentier, Jake Skipworth and Russell Stevenson each had three hits on the day, with at least one in both games.
GAME ONE
CBU scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to claim its third walk-off win of the season in Saturday's opener. It ended a wild back-and-forth affair as there were five ties and three lead changes in the game.
Seattle U took a 7-6 lead into the ninth inning after it scored a run in the eighth to take its first lead of the contest. Chad Castillo sparked the comeback with a lead-off, four-pitch walk. Stevenson then drew a five-pitch walk with one out.

CBU broke out for three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 5-2 lead, thanks to a run-scoring double from Clift and two-run homer from Simon. Seattle answered again and tied the game, 5-5, in the fifth and then took a 6-5 lead in the sixth. Skipworth tied the game back up at 6-6, with a two-out RBI double in the seventh.

The Lancers' bullpen gave up just one earned run over the final four innings. Liam Rocha kept his perfect earned-run average intact and earned his first win of the season after he recorded the final two outs in the top of the ninth.
GAME TWO
Saturday's finale had the same makings of the first in the early going. Seattle U scored a run in the first inning but CBU put together a five-run frame right after to take control, up 5-1.
Martin led off the inning with his second home run of the day. A bases-loaded, full-count walk to Stevenson, two-run double from Carpentier and sacrifice fly from Simon brought home the runs.

In game one, two Redhawks were tagged out at the plate. The first came when SU tried to steal home on a wild pitch but Clift and starting pitcher CJ Culpepper managed to cut him down.

In game two, the Lancers gunned down another Redhawk at the plate. It came on a great relay play on a double to right field, as the right fielder Carpentier hit his cut-off man Spohn, who delivered a strike to the catcher Martin, who applied the tag to keep CBU in front by two.

The Lancers and Redhawks will wrap up their series with a noon game on Sunday. A win on Sunday would move the Lancers into a tie for second place in the WAC's West Division. Dixie State currently holds that spot with an 8-4 league record and has the week off from conference play.
Next week, CBU will play four non-conference games starting when it hosts CSU Bakersfield for the second time this season on Tuesday, April 5 at 6 pm. The Lancers will then play a three-game set at Air Force Friday, April 8 through Sunday, April 10.
