Lancers Face Arizona in Mid-Week Contest

The Lancers got on the board in the fourth inning with a home run from Mitchel Simon that secured two runs. California Baptist applied pressure again to the Wildcat's defense in the fifth inning with a double from Michael Carpentier that sent Julian Alvarez and CJ Masciel home. Dustin Garcia finished the night with a three-run shot in the top of the ninth that helped CBU lessen the Wildcat's lead. Arizona ultimately came away with the 16-7 win.
Simon clocked in with three hits and two RBI against the Wildcat's pitchers, while Carpentier also had two hits and two RBI of his own.
California Baptist returns to Totman Stadium on March 3rd at 6 p.m. for their home opener against Seton Hall in a four-game series.
