In the first inning, Garret Ostrander led off the evening for the Lancers with a double, allowing him to score off of a single from Mitchel Simon. Dustin Garcia got on base off of a fielder's choice and made it home after Jake Skipworth singled up the middle, giving CBU a two-run lead. Liam Rocha led the defense, going eight innings and collecting seven strikeouts after only giving up two hits.

The Lancers found offensive success again in the sixth, after a single from Connor McGuire that scored Garcia. Ostrander followed suit with a single to left field that brought home two runners and tallied the lead to 5-0. In the ninth inning, a pair of singles would put two runners on before Simon delivered a three-run bomb to left field to ensure the win.

The Aggies had a late rally in the ninth inning, where they tallied five runs on the Lancer's relief pitchers but were unable to complete the comeback to even the series.
CBU ended the night with no errors and put up 10 hits on the New Mexico pitching staff. Skipworth improves to a six-game hitting streak after putting three hits in the stat book. Simon earned his twelfth home run of the season, extending his conference home run leader title, and collected four RBI to round out his night. Ostrander continues to be consistent for the Lancers, collecting three hits and two RBI against NMSU.
California Baptist returns to the 'Skew for the final game of the series against New Mexico State University on Saturday at 11 a.m. (PST).
