Started all 55 games as a senior ... named 1st Team All-WAC ... hit .295 (62-for-210) and hit 18 home runs and drove in 53 and scored 42 ... in a career-best day against Pacific, hit three home runs, drove in seven and scored four times ... named Third Team Academic All-American and District All-Academic by CoSIDA ... named Academic All-WAC.

2018
Appeared in 48 games and made 41 starts as a redshirt junior... Named PacWest first-team award and earned NCAA Division II All-West Region honorable mention from NCBWA... Recorded 48 hits for a .296 batting average... Slugged .549 with 14 doubles and nine home runs... Drove in 40 runs, scored 34 times and also stole two bases... Logged 13 multi-hit games and drove in a season-high four runs against Biola on April 6... Earned PacWest All-Academic award.

RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Played two seasons (2016-17) at Riverside Community College... Named 2017 Orange Empire Conference Player of the Year... Picked up CCCBCA SoCal Player of the Week award... Led OEC with 46 RBI, 12 home runs and four saves as a sophomore... Hit .331 with 11 doubles and a flawless ERA in 7.2 innings pitched in 2017... Hit .358 with eight doubles, seven homers and 26 RBI as a redshirt freshman.

SAN DIEGO STATE
Redshirted his freshman season at San Diego State in 2015.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped four varsity seasons years at Kaiser High in Fontana, Calif., where he graduated in 2014... Pitched and played first base under Coach Mike Spinuzzi, while also playing two years of football... Earned Cal-Hi All-State first-team honors and All-CIF... Named to All-Sunkist League's first team all four seasons, along with all-league honors in football one year... Batted .379 with 13 doubles, four triples, three home runs and 45 RBI as a senior... Also compiled a 9-0 record with a save, 0.67 ERA in 62.6 innings on the mound... As a junior, he batted .354 with 10 doubles, 28 RBI and was 9-2 with a 2.05 ERA in 58 innings on the mound... Played Summer ball for the Colton Nighthawks and the Red Sox Scout team.

Son of Manny and Isabel Mota... Raised in Fontana, Calif... Has three siblings: Dominic, Mia and Jacob... Sociology major... Enjoys outdoor sports and hanging out with friends... Hopes to get drafted into MLB or will pursue law enforcement as a career after graduation.
