Cheyenne Smith joined the California Baptaist University softball Staff in July 2024. Smith is a Lake Elsinore native who returns to the Inland Empire after her playing days which were split between the University of New Mexico and Bethune-Cookman University.
Most recently, Smith was an assistant coach at UC San Bernadino helping guide the Coyotes over the past two seasons.
While playing for the Lobos in Albuquerque, Smith started 95 of 100 games played, tallying 75 hits, 55 runs scored, and 17 RBI.
Her junior and senior years were spent playing for the Wildcats where she was a key player for their NCAA Tournament Regional runs in 2018 & .2019. She racked up another 105 starts in 108 games played in Dayton Beach, Fla., leading her team in runs scored (37) and walks earned (26) during her senior season. She led BCU to a pair of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championships and received MEAC All-Tournament Team honors her senior year.
Since finishing up her playing days, Cheyenne has worked at Level Up, a fastpitch softball, a company she co-founded, teaching private lessons for all facets of skill work on the diamond.
