Lopez recently worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Oregon (2022-2024) and the University of Minnesota (2021-2022) before her time in Eugene. Lopez was a bona fide winner throughout her career as a student-athlete at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Arizona. She holds the all-time record in winning percentage at Oklahoma with a 51-2 (.962) record and finished her collegiate career with a 71-7 (.910) record. She reached the Women's College World Series four times during her playing days, claiming a National Championship in 2017 as the winning pitcher and appearing in three runs to Oklahoma City.
In five seasons at the college level, Lopez amassed an ERA of 1.78 in 441.1 innings pitched and struck out 519 batters. 2019 Lopez was named first-team NFCA All-Central Region after going 19-1 with a 1.25 ERA, holding opponents to a .159 batting average with 159 strikeouts in 117.2 innings. She was a finalist for the 2017 NFCA Freshman of the Year and was honored on the Big 12 All-Freshman team.
