- Comes from a strong athletic family
- Sister Mariah pitched for Oklahoma and Arizona. She was the winning pitcher of the clinching game for OU as they won the 2017 National Championship against Florida
- Sister Makayla played softball at Cal Lutheran
- Cousin Noah Cardenas played baseball for UCLA and was drafted and is still part of the Minnesota Twins minor league system
