Daniel Cook began his time as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in September 2019 after completing a two-year graduate assistant program at Division II Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO.
Cook serves as the primary contact for men’s soccer, women’s basketball, softball, and men's and women's swim and dive.
While working towards his Master of Organizational Leadership degree, he served as the primary contact for the Cougars women’s soccer, baseball, and men's and women's cross country and track and field teams for two years. He also assisted with men’s and women’s golf, and men’s basketball for a season. Daniel also aided with a total website redesign that launched in August 2019 and was part of a sports information staff that was able to help secure the highest number of conference Athlete of the Week awards in a single year in program history.
Daniel received his undergraduate degree from Vanguard University of Southern California, majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism. He spent three years as a writer for The Vanguard Voice, a student produced bi-monthly newspaper, two years of which he spent as Sports Editor.
Daniel married his wife Rachel, whom he met at Vanguard, in 2011. They reside in Corona with their daughter Audrey and dog Tallulah.
