GAME ONE
The Lancers wasted no time securing a lead as they brought three across in the first inning. Two of those runs were courtesy of Tiana Patrick on a double to left center field. Patrick recorded a hit in both games today and has now reached base safely in 13 of her last 16 games.

CBU would increase its lead in the fourth as Deja Westbrook would score on a passed ball and Abby Robertson would knock an RBI single to bring in Ashley McBay. The Lancers final insurance run would come across in the top of the seventh as Patrick again would be responsible for the RBI, bringing in pinch runner Molly Kolander who had stolen third during the at-bat.

Kerisa Viramontes was lights out in the circle, tossing her 13th complete game and second shutout of the year against the Toreros. Viramontes took a no-hitter into the fifth inning and ultimately allowed just two hits and two walks. She earns her 10th win of the season and is the first WAC pitcher to break triple-digit strikeouts now with 104 after adding another half-dozen during today's outing.
GAME TWO
Runs were slower to obtain for the Lancers in game two, as they were blanked until a fourth inning error allowed Makayla Jordan to score from second. They would add to their lead in the top of the sixth off of a Katelyn Mangrello single and an Amanda Argomaniz sacrifice bunt scored Samantha Demyon and Jordan respectively.
The Toreros would finally break through and score in the bottom of the sixth inning after applying a successful small ball strategy of single, single, sac bunt to make it a 3-1 game.
The flood gates would open once more for CBU as the Lancers would nearly bat around in the final frame, scoring four more runs on two hits and two errors in the top of the seventh. The Lancers benefited from six USD errors between the two games, however they still managed a combined 18 hits on the day, more than enough to get the job done in San Diego.

Gretchen Goldsmith earned her fourth win of the season on a complete game effort where she notched seven strikeouts, just one shy of her season-high, while allowing just one earned run on five hits.
Jordan would lead the Lancers at the plate on Tuesday, going 3-6 with three runs scored and two RBI. Patrick also had an exceptional day in San Diego, going 3-6 with four RBI, and McBay, Argomaniz, Westbrook, and Maile Olsen all had mutli-hit games against the Toreros.
