The winningest pitcher in NAIA history, Candice Thomas begins her coaching career after a stellar four-year campaign.
The two-time GSAC Pitcher of the Year will serve as a pitching coach for California Baptist.
Thomas graduated with a bachelor’s in criminal justice in 2006 and earned a master’s in public administration in December of 2007.
She holds NAIA records in appearances (161), saves (15) and winning percentage (.890, 121-15). Her name appears in the NAIA record books nine other times as she is in the top 10 in both single-season and career categories.
She holds the top three records at CBU in wins winning a school record 37 in 2006. She notched 33 wins in 2005 and 31 in 2007.
Thomas finished with a 0.95 ERA and struck out 601 batters. She held opponents to just a .195 batting average while throwing 91 complete games that included 43 shutouts.
Thomas is single and lives in Riverside.
