GAME ONE
Game one starting pitcher Kerisa Viramontes was in control for all nine innings as she recorded her first complete game of the year with 11 strikeouts. Viramontes overcame a first inning, bases loaded situation by claiming her first strikeout of the day to end the inning without any damage. Viramontes recorded at least one strike out in all but two innings today, including the inning ending strikeout in five of the first six innings.

After both teams failed to score in regulation, Ashley McBay got the Lancers on the board in the top of the eighth inning with an RBI triple to the opposite field, scoring later on a sacrifice bunt from Abby Robertson. The Aggies would match the Lancers in the bottom of the frame forcing another extra inning.
💛✌️💙
Ashley McBay, so glad you're back! In her first game since returning from injuries, Ashley McBay laces a triple to the opposite field and scores the go ahead run in extra innings! Amanda Argomaniz would bring in what would eventually become the game-winning run, as her ninth inning sac fly would easily score pinch runner Michaila Harrington from third. The Aggies would go down in order with Viramontes striking out the first two batters and forcing an easy pop-up to first to end the game.

GAME TWO
The day one finale would prove to be all CBU as freshman pitcher Alyssa Argomaniz owned the circle in her collegiate debut, striking out two in five and two-thirds innings. She earned the win by allowing just one earned run on seven hits and managed to keep a low-pitch count of just 67 in a very efficient effort that saw 12 outs come by infield ground-outs.

Sister Amanda, who brought in the game-winning run in the first game, broke the scoreless deadlock in game two in the top of the fifth inning when she sent CBU's first homer of the season over the left field wall. The Lancers plated three runs on that one swing to take a 3-0 lead in the game that would stand until the bottom of the sixth when the Aggies took advantage of a CBU error to plate one unearned run, and kept hitting to make it a one-run game.

Argomaniz would be lifted at that point with a runner at second and one out, replaced by senior Giana Lopez, who would come in and finish out the inning without any further damage being done. The seventh inning began well for the Lancers as Robertson, Argomaniz and Makayla Jordan all worked walks with just one out.
Their patience would be rewarded when freshman Maile Olsen stepped up to the plate and sent the third pitch of the at-bat down the left field line for a bases clearing double to put the Lancers up 6-2. Lopez would finish the game with a one-two-three bottom half of the inning, earning the save, her first as a Lancer.
