HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped four varsity seasons for head coach Esteran Valencia at Redlands (Calif.) High, graduating in 2008 ... Went 4-1 with a 2.29 ERA, tossing a two-hit shutout against No. 8-ranked Redlands-East Valley High and earned All-Citrus Belt League honors as a 2008 senior.
