JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played the 2005 season at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Calif., for head coach John Altobelli ... Named All-Orange Empire Conference second team ... Hit .321 with 9 home runs in leading the Pirates to the state semifinals as well as the OEC championship ... Played the 2004 season at Cypress JC for head coach Scott Pickler ... Hit .300 with 10 home runs as a 2004 freshman, leading Cypress to the state championship game against Saaddleback College.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped 2 varsity seasons at Artesia High in Lakewood, Calif., graduating in 2003 ... Also played 2 seasons at Mayfair High ... Named All-Suburban League first team and team MVP as a 2003 senior after leading the Pioneers to a league title and a CIF quarterfinal berth ... Hit .383 with 10 home runs ... Hit .341 with 9 home runs as a 2002 junior.
