SB Preview: Lancers Look To Continue Winning Ways at the Desert Classic

RIVERSIDE – After a successful 3-1 trip against UC Davis and Sacramento State, the Lancers head east to Las Vegas to participate in the UNLV Desert Classic. Lancer ace Kerisa Viramontes was awarded WAC Pitcher of the Week honors after leading CBU to two of the Lancers' three wins, striking out 13 along the way.
CBU will be joined at the round-robin event by the host Rebels, the Pac-12's Utah Utes, and the Weber State Wildcats. These games will serve as the Lancers' first-ever contests against any of these three opponents.
The Lancers will be taking on a trio of teams that combine for an 11-5 record, including four run-rule wins by the Rebels. All three recorded wins against WAC opponents last week as UNLV downed Dixie State twice in run-rule games, Weber State split a pair with Grand Canyon, and Utah took down Grand Canyon once before taking out Seattle U three times in three days.
